Her hands-on experience in both education and social service gives her a unique perspective on the challenges facing our city.
Mayra is running for City Council to be a voice for the people, advocating for solutions that support families, strengthen local resources, and create a more inclusive, thriving community. She believes in practical, community-driven policies that make a real difference in the lives of residents.

Over 17 years in education as a teacher, district director, administrator, and Spanish language educator.

Degree in Administrative Leadership; Master’s in Elementary Education; Elementary Education Bachelors and English as a Second Language Endorsement.

Over a decade of service as a Volunteer Youth Minister at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, mentoring youth in leadership and community engagement through initiatives supporting Lighthouse Ministries, senior care homes, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Also serve as a Board Member for Community Health Improvement (CHI), a member of Chelan Douglas Volunteer Attorney Services (CDVAS), and a volunteer assistant soccer coach.
Deep Roots in Wenatchee
My family has deep roots in this beautiful Valley, and I’ve lived here my entire life. I’m seeking re-election for the Wenatchee City Council At-Large B position because I believe there’s more meaningful work to be done. With over 16 years working in the education field, I understand the importance of actively seeking out the needs of our children and community. As a district administrator, I coordinated services and organized listening sessions with parents to proactively address challenges.
My community involvement includes volunteering with the Chelan Douglas Coalition for Health (CHI) Improvement Board, Chelan Douglas Volunteer Attorney Services, and serving as a youth minister for over 10 years. These experiences have honed my ability to collaborate with diverse groups and bring people together.

I’m committed to enhancing community engagement, improving civic engagement, and building partnerships to better serve our residents. I’m particularly focused on advancing education and engaging our diverse community.
